Article Processing Charges (APC)
Article Processing Charges (APC)
The Journal of Agribusiness and Social Sciences (JASS) does not charge any submission or manuscript handling fee. A publication fee is charged only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.
The applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) is:
- International authors: USD 40 per accepted article
- National authors (Pakistan): PKR 12,000 per accepted article
These charges are applicable from the December 2026 issue until the next decision of the Editorial Board.
APC Waiver Policy
The Journal of Agribusiness and Social Sciences (JASS) recognizes that Article Processing Charges (APCs) should not unnecessarily prevent the publication of high-quality scholarly research. Accordingly, the journal provides APC waivers under the following conditions:
- Eligibility for Waivers: Corresponding authors of manuscripts with no more than five authors may request a full or partial APC waiver at the time of manuscript submission.
- Justification Required: Waiver requests should include a clear explanation of the relevant financial constraints or circumstances supporting the request.
- Editorial Decision: Waiver requests are considered by the Editorial Board on a case-by-case basis, subject to the availability of funds and the justification provided. The decision of the Editorial Board is final.
APC Waiver and Incentive Policy for Reviewers
The Journal of Agribusiness and Social Sciences (JASS) recognizes the essential contribution of peer reviewers to maintaining the quality, integrity, and efficiency of scholarly publishing. To acknowledge their contribution, the journal provides the following incentives:
- APC Discount for Reviewers: Reviewers who complete a thorough, high-quality, and timely peer review will receive a 10% discount on the APC for each completed review, subject to the journal's applicable APC and reviewer records.
- Full APC Waiver for Frequent Reviewers: A reviewer who completes eight high-quality peer reviews may be granted a 100% APC waiver for one accepted paper, subject to the manuscript undergoing the journal's standard double-blind peer-review process and meeting all editorial and publication requirements.
These incentives recognize the contribution of reviewers while supporting a rigorous, fair, and high-quality peer-review process.
The APC, waiver, and reviewer-incentive policies may be reviewed and revised periodically by the Editorial Board. Any changes will be announced through the journal's official website and will apply prospectively.
