Article Processing Charges (APC)
JISA follows a fully open-access publishing policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or access fees.
The journal does not charge any fees for manuscript submission, initial screening, or peer review.
Introductory APC Waiver
As part of its development and commitment to promoting scientific collaboration and accessibility, JISA currently offers a complete APC waiver for articles published during its introductory publication phase.
No APC will be charged for manuscripts accepted and published in the initial volumes and issues announced by the journal.
APC After the Waiver Period
Following the waiver period, APCs may apply to accepted manuscripts after successful peer review and final editorial approval. The proposed APC structure is as follows:
- Authors from Pakistan: PKR 10,000 per accepted article
- International Authors: USD 40 per accepted article
These charges are designed to remain affordable and accessible while supporting the sustainability, quality, and long-term operation of the journal.
Waiver and Discount Policy
JISA is committed to promoting equitable participation in scientific publishing and recognizes that financial limitations may affect researchers, particularly those from low-income institutions or developing regions.
Authors facing genuine financial constraints may request partial or full APC waivers or discounts. Such requests should be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and will be considered confidentially on a case-by-case basis. Requests may be sent to jisa@ageconfrontiers.com
Requests submitted after peer review or post-acceptance may not be considered.
Transparency and Policy Updates
JISA remains committed to transparency in all publication-related policies and fees. APC rates, waiver policies, and funding arrangements may be reviewed periodically to ensure the sustainability and accessibility of the journal.
Any future revisions or updates to APC policies will be clearly communicated through the journal website and official announcements.
