Article Processing Charges (APC)
JISA is committed to making scientific research freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide. The journal does not charge any manuscript submission fee or handling fee. A publication fee is applicable only to manuscripts that have successfully completed the peer-review process and have been formally accepted for publication.
The following publication charges will apply from the February 2027 issue until the next decision of the Editorial Board:

The applicable publication fee is payable only after acceptance. Payment of publication charges has no bearing on editorial decisions, reviewer recommendations, or the outcome of the peer-review process.
APC Waiver Policy
JISA believes that publication charges should not constitute a barrier to the dissemination of high-quality scientific research. The journal recognizes that researchers, particularly those working in financially constrained institutions and resource-limited settings, may face difficulties in meeting publication costs.
Accordingly, JISA considers requests for full or partial APC waivers under the following conditions:
Eligibility for Waivers: The corresponding author of a manuscript with no more than five authors may request a full or partial APC waiver.
Timing of Requests: Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission. Requests submitted after the completion of peer review or following acceptance may not be considered.
Justification Required: Authors must provide a clear explanation of their financial constraints or other circumstances supporting the waiver request.
Editorial Decision: All waiver requests will be considered confidentially by the Editorial Board on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the justification provided, the availability of funds, and the merits of the request.
The consideration or approval of a waiver request is entirely separate from the editorial assessment and peer-review process. All manuscripts must meet the journal's scholarly, ethical, and quality requirements to be considered for publication.
APC Waiver Policy for Reviewers
JISA recognizes the essential contribution of peer reviewers to maintaining the quality, integrity, and scientific standards of scholarly publishing. To acknowledge their time, expertise, and commitment, the journal offers the following incentives:
APC Discount for Reviewers: Reviewers who complete thorough, high-quality, and timely peer reviews will be eligible for a 10% discount on the APC for each completed review, subject to editorial verification and approval.
Full APC Waiver for Frequent Reviewers: Reviewers who successfully complete eight quality reviews will be eligible for a 100% APC waiver for one of their accepted papers, subject to the journal's double-blind peer-review process and approval by the Editorial Board.
These incentives are intended to recognize the valuable contributions of reviewers and encourage sustained participation in the journal's peer-review process. Reviewer incentives do not guarantee manuscript acceptance or influence editorial decisions.
Transparency and Policy Updates
JISA is committed to transparency, fairness, and consistency in its publication-related fees and policies. All applicable APCs, waiver conditions, and reviewer incentives will be communicated through the journal's official website.
The APC structure and associated policies may be revised periodically by the Editorial Board. Any changes will be announced on the journal website and will take effect in accordance with the dates and conditions specified in the relevant announcement.
